Blowing rings

There are a lot of blogs that you can come across surfing on the net. Some of them are great and i want to be kept updated, so that's my feed reader is filled with feeds. This way i come across so many funny, moving and amazing items that are on the internet. Most of the time i make a link of them, just because i want to tell someone about them. But the link list is getting longer and longer, it's hard to tell what is what! Because the links are mostly clips from youtube, i´ve decided to make an item of it.

This time it's a clip that really calms me down when i watch it. It's so peaceful, serene, just really pretty. Hope you like it as well.

Breake down

Was i just saying that i was so happy with my decorated tree, this morning the lights busted! That meant that i had to take them all out and put new ones in. But because the lights i had in vase also broke down i had no spare ones. Luckily my mom did, so i got 2 light strings to put in the tree and in the vase. It took some patience, but it all worked out and the tree looks great again. [The brownies i made yesterday were a hit btw, Mom and grandma were surprised i made them and they loved it!]

Tomorrow it's back to work. I don't really feel like it [i'm feeling much much better though, i'm not sick anymore], sometimes you just need a break to recharge you battery. But there's a meeting tomorrow and i have to make notes, so i can't stay home another day. O well, only a full week this week and then next week it's gonna be a breeze, a workweek of only 2,5 days. Now that is a nice prospect.

Now i'll get my new book, a cup of tea and go to read a few pages in bed. The ultimate way to end a relaxed weekend.

Yummy!

I'm not a chef; i don't like to cook and the last time i tried to bake something, i failed miserably.

But today, when i was doing my grocery shopping i got the urge for brownies. Making brownies isn't that hard and because my ma & grandma are coming for tea tomorrow, i got the ingredients and got started. After 45 min. the oven let me know that the brownies were ready. I let them cool off and just tasted small piece, and all i can say it that i'll bake more often. The brownies came out very very good; they're delicious!!!

I've had better one's...

Could today have been more crappy then it all ready was? My answer to this question would be Yes it could [yes with a capital y]. There was only one thing that brought a smile on my face.

What happened? I woke up this morning and everything was fine, the migraine i felt coming up the night before wasn't there anymore [thank G], but when i was driving to work i felt it coming up again. Okay no problem i'll take my medicine when i'm at work. It helped, but what i hadn't anticipated on, were the pains i got thanks to the monthly visit. It was so bad it literally made me sick. I made it to the bathroom just in time, i was hot one moment and freezing the next and i was as white as a ghost. After only being at work for 3 hours i packed my stuff together and went home and back to bed again. I slept for a few hours, my parents came over to get 2 small tables, my mom made some hot custard for me [she always made it when me or my brother were sick]. But still i didn't feel any better, thankfully i didn't have a fever, so back to bed i went.

So here i am, in bed with my laptop, hoping to go to sleep soon so i can leave this day behind me and start a new and better one tomorrow.

Christmas mood

Sinterklaas has left the country and i'm getting ready for Christmas. We celebrated Sinterklaas [click here to find out how Sinterklaas is] on Friday and on Saterday morning after practice i decided that it was the time to get the Christmas tree and decorate it. I got a bigger artificial tree from my grandma, the one i had was a tiny one [not that this one is much bigger though]. My grandma is 85 years old almost and she decided that she doesn't want to mess around with all the decorating and stuff. To big of a fuss. So she asked if i was interested in her old tree and old ornaments. At first i wasn't, i didn't think that i would like them, but when i opened the box they weren't the tacky one's i expected; my grandma has taste! The ornaments are shiny and frosted silver and white. Together with the silver ribbons and the silver coloured beaded chain, it looks really good. I love looking at it sitting in my little cosy corner of the couch and i'm happy it will stay there for the next 3 weeks!

Seven Pounds

The owner of the local cinema isn't going to become a milionaire thanks to me. This year i have been to the movies about 2 or 3 times tops. Why i don't go? For one it's a bit too pricey for me; paying almost 10 dollars for the ticket alone, then you want something to eat and drink as well. All in all you will pay around 20 dollars. I'm sorry but it's not worth it to me. If the movie is really really good i do go, when it's so so [but still pretty good], i'll wait until it's out on dvd and go rent it. Only most of the time i will see a movie for the first time when it airs on tv.

But after seeing this trailer on youtube, i know i wanna see this movie. I have to write down the title on my movie list [i'm a list freak, but i blog about that some other time] before i forget! I love movies like this and i do love Will Smith. I can't wait till the movie come to Europe.

Changes

Man it has been a long time since i've written anything here. It's not that i didn't have a life during the last [almost] 3 weeks and that i didn't do anything. Because i did do have a life and i did do all kinds of fun things. I can give a number of reasons for not blogging but mainly I didn’t feel like. I just didn’t have the time or the energy to sit down and start typing away.

What didn’t help either was that, looking at the layout, i wasn’t happy with it. And mainly I wasn’t happy with the banner. That had to change. After seeing a great picture somewhere on the net, I had some inspiration. Why did the picture inspire me, well the girl reminds me of… well me! My hair is also brown, I have the same haircut, I wear classes and I like pink. The only thing that is different is that I do not have green coloured eyes, mine are brown. But other than that, it’s like looking in the mirror.

After messing around with all different kind of patterns, this is what it’s gonna be. Simple but with warm colours, which is nice for this time of year. So with that part of my blog being to my liking, I can’t use that as an excuse anymore. Which means that there will be a new blog very soon.

Lazy Sunday

I love Sundays, the sunday is my favorite day of the week, or at least one of my favorite days. On Sunday you don't have to do anything you don't want to. It's a great day to curl up on the couch with a good book, watch the shows you taped during the week, go visit friends and family, or do whatever you feel like doing that day. You can recharge for the coming week.

For me it's the only day in the week that i can sleep in. Normally i have a semi wake up around 8 am, but then i close my eyes again and go back to sleep. After [defenitly] waking up i get the paper and read it in bed with a cup of tea. The rest of the day i wear my comfy outfit [when i was younger i would stay in my pj's all day] and watch tv, surf the net and do some little choresing out around the house.

Last week i haven't done much, but i'm not planning on doing much today either. It's gonna be a Lazy Sunday!

Milow - Ayo (Technology)

One of my favorite songs at the moment, is the one i'm posting in this blog. The origional version of Ayo (technology) is by 50 cent. But this one is the cover made by Milow, a singer-songwriter from Belgium. I'm a big fan of him ever since i've seen him opening for the band Racoon in The Hague just last year. I didn't know Milow at all, but was impressed right from the start. And when he announced he was coming back to Holland for some concerts, i knew i had to get tickets. So in januari it's Milow time, I can't wait!
